This post was originally from my other blog, but relevant ideas to be input this blog. Today morning I wake up and received an email regarding activation of Maybank2u account. At the first glance I already know it was fake email sent out by such scam. But the feel of knowing makes me wanted to figure out what the tricks does they made to get into the account. And this is what done:
Okay, old lame logo, that would be the first impression to know it was fake. The email “maybank2u@security.com” can also be one of the point. Buat read and find out how they confused the readers.
Upon clicking link at point Number 4, you will get redirected to the following page:
There will be the trick. It’s a page like Maybank2uc.com.my login page. See the address at the browser URL. Never fall to this kind of thick. In short, bank will never send email for any activition okay?
Well, I supposed this was to get into the saving account. If I were using credit card or debit card from Maybank, then I will get exopose to danger of getting lost of credits or funds. I will never get my cards into this kind of trouble. If you were, up to anything for trial purpose, then start with Virtual Credit Card first. Thanks for a great reading.
